Having gained her Bachelor of Laws degree in 1989, and admitted as a solicitor in 1991, Lynette Galvin, started her own legal firm in 1991 and quickly began to specialise in Family Law.
She became an Accredited Family Law specialist in 1996 and was, for many years, a Law Society Approved Mediator who specialised in Family Law Mediations.
Since 2004, Lynette has been the Principal of Journey Family Lawyers which she founded in that year after obtaining a Bachelor of Education during a brief break from the profession.
She is an Independent Children’s lawyer and the recipient of a Woman in Business award in 2006.
Lynette is passionate about minimizing the stress of separation and divorce on people and particularly children. She emphasizes a positive and proactive way to finalise property and children’s matters so people can get on with their lives. Her focus is on mentoring and training lawyers to assist the firm’s clients in this way. When she is not working at one of our offices, Lynette likes writing and spending time with her Husband, children and grandchildren.
